LNT Construction builds on successful year with 2007 Fast Track 100 entry
Yorkshire-based LNT Construction has been rewarded for its phenomenal growth over the past three years with a listing in the 2007 Sunday Times Fast Track 100. The specialist care home developer has been named at number 53 in the list of the UK's fastest growing companies.
LNT Construction, part of the LNT Group of companies continues to expand rapidly from its Yorkshire base. Founded by Lawrence Tomlinson, the core business is based on 20 years experience in elderly care and includes the construction business, GLP Taylors and CoolBlue Software. LNT Automotive has recently acquired the Ginetta sports car company to add to its Le Mans class-winning Panoz cars. LNT Aviation provides helicopter charter throughout the UK.
2007 has been an exciting and successful year for the LNT Group. Earlier this year, the company moved into a purpose-built 70,000 sq ft facility in Garforth, a far cry from the potting shed in Batley that it occupied only five years ago. The move followed the £175m MBO of Orchard Care Homes which was founded by Tomlinson back in 1984.
LNT Construction will continue to provide Orchard with care homes as part of a £45m p.a. ongoing development programme. The company has built 10 care homes in the last 2 years, is currently building a further 12 homes providing nearly 1000 new beds for frail elderly and elderly dementia sufferers across the North. It plans to expand nationwide during 2008, has already opened a new office in Chorley, Lancashire, and is opening another office in Rugby.
